In early August 2022, working with a group of amateur and trained artists, the Stockton Brook workshop was led by invited artist, Louise Adams of Stockton Brook Studios and by Emma Dawson Varughese, the lead artist of Knotted Identities. The workshop employed printing techniques (‘Gelli plates’) and the local botanical and natural world for inspiration. Whilst printing and creating, the participants explored ideas of belonging to Stockton Brook and the wider Staffordshire Moorlands; the audios that were captured at the workshop offered more depth to the artwork and the expressions of local identities. The workshop was held at the Scout and Guides Headquarters in Stockton Brook.
